Lourdes Tepper

Lourdes Tepper, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 15 years of experience helping children, teens, adults, and families navigate life’s challenges. She is dedicated to creating a supportive, collaborative environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.

Lourdes utilizes a holistic and individualized approach to counseling, recognizing that each client’s experiences, strengths, and goals are unique. She believes that clients are the experts on their own lives and works collaboratively with them to develop treatment plans that address their specific needs and promote lasting growth.

Her clinical approach integrates evidence-based treatment modalities, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Lourdes also incorporates mindfulness practices, relaxation techniques, and stress-management strategies to help clients build resilience and improve overall well-being

Throughout her career, Lourdes has worked with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), trauma-related concerns, anger management challenges, relationship difficulties, stress-related issues, body image concerns, and self-esteem struggles. She has extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, families, and adults through a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges.

Lourdes earned both her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Master’s Degree in Counseling from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. She began her career providing community-based counseling services to children, teens, and families and later served as Supervisor of Family Counseling and Associates in Erie, Pennsylvania. After relocating to South Carolina, she continued her work in the mental health field through various roles with the state and has spent several years working alongside first responders, providing support for the unique challenges they face.

Committed to professional growth and excellence in care, Lourdes regularly participates in continuing education and advanced training to stay current with evidence-based practices and emerging developments in the mental health field.

When she is not working, Lourdes enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring the outdoors, watching sports, visiting the beach, trying new restaurants, and enjoying a good movie.
